Putting Our Faith into Action

As Unitarian Universalists, we covenant to work for a democratic, peaceful, equitable and earth-friendly world. GMUUC has gained regional and national attention for our public advocacy for human rights.

Each February we formally recognize an individual or organization that has exhibited courageous love and touched hearts and minds.  We exemplify financial generosity by donating half of our plate collection to a nonprofit organization promoting similar values and regularly contributing to the UU Service Committee and local charitable causes.

Members regularly show up for public demonstrations and participate in the real work of feeding hungry children and promoting human rights issues, gun safety, and fair election practices.  We were recognized as a Drum Major for Justice at the 2019 MLK, Jr Holiday observance in Gainesville, GA.
